The Big Ideas

The Republican Party relies on big ideas like the Republican Revolution of 1994. Republicans relate to the middle-class by reducing taxes on families, and by creating good jobs by helping the small business community. Something that the Democrats fail at everytime. The GOP also wins on the issue of immigration. Republicans take a stronger position on illegal immigrants. The democrats remain divided. More border guards are needed to defend the border, and border guards must have more authority. They must be allowed to open fire on illegal immigrants running over the border, (while the illegal immigrants are asked to "freeze!" by border guards). Police have the authority to act in a similar way on American citizens that fail to "freeze" and that resist arrest. Why not border guards also? A fourth issue conservatives can win is on "fiscal discipline". Make sure that spending is cut, and that budget deficits are a thing of the past. Paying down the debt is a conservative position that democrats have been claiming for years. It is a position lost in this era of liberal spending, that will only get worse if the democrats take over in 2008.

Hey, just so you know, I was all about the Conservative Shake up in 1994. But somewhere along the line, these guys started believing their own press releases and got so caught up that they got swallowed up by the machine. They were supposed to kill Big Govt. But what they've done is feed Clinton's programs Miracle grow. There are some good ideas on both sides of the fence, unfortunately, there's a lot more bad ones. It's time to scale back the prez's power and get back to constitutional restrictions in order to scale back Big govt. The Conservative movement got hijacked by holy rollers, neo-cons, and corporate robber barons. We need to de-corporatize Govt in order to shrink Govtzilla.
