Who In 2008

I just wanted to extend my thoughts from myspace forum Who Do U Want As The Next President And Vice President. For the Republican Party I believe that McCain would be a good choice for President is because of his strong social conservative positions on many issues, and because of his fiscal conservatism. Brownback as a VP candidate for his weight in the christian community, and he will hold the southern states for the GOP. Huckabee, former Governer of Arkansas would be able to hold the south, and doesn't come off too conservative for swing voters, and definetly isn't liberal enough to alienate christian conservatives. Jim Gilmore has claimed to be the "Republican wing of the Republican Party", and his Virginia roots make him a shoo-in to hold the south. A last note. McCain is good because of his conservative beliefs and his ability to compromise, and his experience with bi-partisanship.

To be honest, I think McCain has really lost his mind, man. Ron Paul is probably the smartest and die hard Constitutional conservative out there. There's a couple of other guys. I know you are no fan of Democrats, but I think Edwards would be a great middle-of-the-road (Believe me, we could use some centrism at this point) President. We need (desperately) some real accountability from a President right now. Whoever gets elected next need to be as non-partisan as possible and committed to a REAL solution in getting us unfettered from our current foreign policy. Clinton made the way clear for Bush to do what he did as far as unaccountability. Both Presidents dishonored the office, as far as I am concerned. We need to hold to the policy of some REAL checks and balances in order to move forward.

If we don't, the alternative is that Clinton and Bush won't be near as bad as the next guy to get in...
